A powerful hurricane is approaching Florida, and now is the time to protect both your safety and your vehicle. Severe winds, flooding, and flying debris can cause extensive damage — and without the right coverage, repairs could be costly.
Addify is issuing a temporary Insurance Moratorium to be effective immediately. What this means is that, beginning October 8, 2026, we are putting a temporary hold on Florida accounts from being able to add vehicles and self-activate vehicles for coverage through the Addify App. The moratorium will remain effective until further communicated (once the Hurricane no longer poses a threat to your business).
Important Reminders
- Secure Your Vehicle: Park on high ground, in a garage or sturdy covered area. If that’s not possible, choose a high, open space away from trees, power lines, and flood-prone zones. Renting out vehicles or moving them away from high-risk areas also helps ensure they will not sustain storm damage.
- Document Your Car’s Condition: Take clear photos of your vehicle before the storm for any potential claims.
- Do not attempt to drive through rising water: Just 12 inches of rushing water can carry away most cars.
- Know Your Deductible: Be aware of your out-of-pocket costs before filing a claim.
